They think it’s all over. It is now! Well for my Captain’s Away Day at The Warwickshire that is! Everybody throughly enjoyed the day and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the way things went. A big THANK YOU to you both for the courtesy and professionalism in dealing with my queries throughout the preceding months, and also to the staff at the Warwickshire on the day who couldn’t have been more helpful in making my day run smoothly. We also all thought the standard of the food was excellent. I would certainly recommend 'The Warwickshire' to any Society or Club Captains I speak to.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for all your help with the wedding - you were great! We had the most amazing time and so did our guests. The food was fab and The Warwickshire was the perfect venue for our wedding. The team who looked after us on the night were all great. The lady on Reception was lovely and really helpful in the morning when we were checking out! Rooms lovely, breakfast was great and so nice to have the area reserved for all my family to have breakfast together after our big day. Again a massive thank you to you and all at the Warwickshire!

After being diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer at the age of 24, I realised that my life was going to change forever. I was given a treatment plan of 8 rounds of intravenous chemotherapy, major surgery and 20 rounds of radiotherapy before I would return to my normal life (whatever that was). Through chemo I put on around 3 stone, I lost all my hair and loss muscle mass. The weight gain worked in my favour, as chemotherapy, although gruelling at times, was relatively easy for me, unlike most. When chemo was over, I chose to join the Warwickshire and with the help of the lovely staff (Cameron and Nera in particular), I have managed to lose 2 ½ stone since February. This wonderful club, full of wonderful people and inspiring stories has given me the strength and positivity to reach my goals in all aspects of my life. After going through something so awful, it’s amazing to have people around you regularly that are there to support you, guide you and push you forward. And so, over a year since my diagnosis, I am free from cancer, getting married and doing the things that I loved to do again. My confidence has come back, and I am so grateful! Thank you so much guys!

At last - a hotel I actually want to stay in! As a regular traveller, away from home 3 - 4 days a week, I get very tired with the mediocrity and blandness of most hotels.  The Warwickshire is probably my perfect hotel - nice rooms, comfy beds, decent hairdryers, the most amazing gym and spa. The food is good with a menu that changes daily and includes fresh and healthy food options.  I don't play golf, but enjoy being able to walk the grounds for exercise in the summer evenings. All in all a great place to stay, with lovely staff!

As a regular user of this hotel for business purposes I really cannot fault it. Attentive polite staff, fantastic rooms and a great pool and spa to relax in after a busy day. The gym is well equipped and popular. There is a nice bar and large terrace overlooking the golf course (which I have not managed to use yet but must find time to do so) to socialise and take in the splendid scenery. The food is always excellent with a good choice on the menu.

I am a regular guest at the Warwickshire and would not stay anywhere else in the area. The employees are consistently very helpful, courteous and welcoming and always go out of their way to make sure my stay is as pleasant as can be. The location is great, central enough to get in and out of town quickly but secluded at the same time. The rooms are luxurious and spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. There is an extensive menu at the restaurant with a wide variety of choices. The gym and spa facilities are some of the best I've seen in a hotel with everything you need. Can't recommend the Warwickshire enough.

From start to finish of our golf day we were looked after. We book a day every year and this year’s event at The Warwickshire was one of our best. The team at the club made the event as well as the two great golf courses.

7 years ago I was 13 stone and not doing any sport. I had done some road running many years ago but not to any standard. My blood pressure went off the chart and I was told by the doctor to join a gym, hence I joined the Warwickshire. I spent a year doing treadmill and cross training 3 or 4 times a week and then decided to run the Kenilworth Half Marathon. I did a reasonable time of 1:36 so also joined Kenilworth Runners. I’ve worked out 6 times a week since then, either at running club or the Warwickshire (where I now do all my speed reps on the treadmill). The outcome? I am now 10 stone, this year I was selected to run for England at marathon over 65 level (I am 68) and I won the V65 British Championships Gold Medal at the Chester Marathon.

I have been really impressed with the help and encouragement that I have been given by the team at The Warwickshire. Whilst trying to achieve my goals of losing ten kilos, the gym staff have been enthusiastic, energetic and encouraging in helping me to lose weight, eat more sensibly and improve my fitness. I am especially glad that they remained interested in supporting me through the early weeks with regular changes in my programme, keeping up the regular "weigh-in" schedule and developing my confidence to try different classes. The gym staff are there to help you set realistic targets and celebrate with you when you reach them. The classes are helpful and the staff have really understood how to judge the different abilities in the class and keep everyone pushing to reach their own level of achievement.

So the question is, why do I use the gym and go to classes nearly every day? Of course, most people use the gym to get fitter and stronger, to lose weight and keep the body flexible. But equally important to me is the stimulation of my mind, which makes me feel more alive! I use a huge variety of the classes on offer, with great instructors. Since the refurbishment of the gym floor, I use the new functional area and the kinesis machines. I am even boxing at the age of 61, with help and encouragement from the gym team, all of whom are very approachable. I have some way to go to reach my target but with my willpower and the help of the team I have no doubt that I will achieve it. It's a great club, great gym and staff, great instructors, great facilities - what more could you want? Just go for it!

The gym is very well equipped with a wide range of fitness equipment and classes available. It has greatly helped me feel fitter and lose weight. It's all set in a nice environment and the trainers are all encouraging and helpful.

A focus and target is what you need in the gym area to achieve the results you want. The gym staff have been excellent in listening to what I am looking for in a workout and putting together a programme to achieve it - something that is realistic but testing. They are also good at catching up with you in the gym or emailing you after you've been doing your new programme for a few weeks, to see how you are getting on and to book another review. Frequent reviews with the team mean you can update your programme to make sure your body doesn't get used to doing the same thing, you don't get bored and you don't lose focus. They are great!

At the beginning of the year I made a New Year’s resolution to improve my fitness and to lose weight. Previously I would swim everyday but rarely used the gym. I now come in four times per week as well as swimming on four mornings! I have upped my exercise routine of cardio and body weight training and also made huge changes to my eating habits with the help of an app. I also cut out tea and coffee, In just a few months, I lost 4.4kg, 3.1% body fat and also dropped a dress size!
